Your First Visit to Lakeside Dental

At Lakeside Dental, we want you to experience a comfortable and stress-free dental visit. We designate a full hour for our new patients. During this time, Dr. Morales conducts a personal interview, performs a comprehensive oral exam, takes X-rays, and creates a diagnostic treatment plan that meets your needs.

This is your opportunity to express your desires and our opportunity to get to know you. Prior to your first appointment, we ask you to come prepared with questions and personal goals for your dental care. We want you to be a participant in your care so that you can be armed with knowledge to be as healthy as possible. Our casual environment will help make your dental visit enjoyable.

At the end of your first visit, you and Meredith, our office manager, will discuss your treatment plan, insurance coverage, if applicable, and the associated patient out-of-pocket expense. At your first visit you can expect the following:

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.), if you require antibiotics prior to dental treatment, or are on anticoagulant therapy. If you have asthma and use an inhaler please bring your inhaler with you to your appointment.

Information & Accommodations

We empower you to make smart choices about your oral health and smile enhancements. We encourage you to ask questions during your visits so that you feel informed and at ease with your treatment plan. We always want you to feel comfortable with the procedure recommendations and financing options.

Additional Dental Treatment

Most of the time we can start any additional dental treatment, such as a filling, immediately after your first visit. This enables us to fix problems before they get worse, and it allows you to save time! If you need more extensive dental work, we will talk through your treatment plan, your financial options, and your availability to schedule an appointment so that you feel comfortable continuing treatment.

At Lakeside Dental, we pride ourselves on our commitment to stay on schedule. We refuse to waste our patients’ valuable time. We are dedicated to seeing our patients on time, every time. If an unforeseen event pushes our schedule back, we will try to keep it from affecting your appointment. We hope you’ll come in and experience our superior customer service and one-on-one patient care!

Scheduling Procedures

Lakeside Dental’s scheduling policies ensure the overall success of your treatment. Working together, we can build a true partnership with one common goal – to achieve and maintain a beautiful, healthy smile.

  • Provide your insurance information when you call, and bring the necessary cards and identification with you to your appointment.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to your initial appointment so that you can complete required electronic patient paperwork.
  • Remember your appointment date and times. If you arrive late to an appointment, you may have to reschedule your appointment for a different day and time.
  • Reschedule or cancel your appointment promptly. Lakeside Dental requires two business days (48 hours) notice for canceled or rescheduled appointments. If you do not give proper notice, we will not be able to offer you the popular appointment times in the future.
